A Walk Beyond The Finish Line

Let’s be real — sometimes it feels like we’re chasing goal after goal: a degree, a career, a business, the “right” relationship… but even when we reach those finish lines, something still feels off. Like it’s not enough.

That’s where this challenge comes in.

A Walk Beyond the Finish Line is a journal-style experience built for youth like you — aged 14 to 24 — who are craving something deeper. It takes you on a journey to explore your current goals, question what really matters, and reflect on your purpose in life… all through the lens of the Arbaeen Walk and the legacy of Imam Husayn (a).

You’ll go from sorting through the goals you’ve been handed…

To discovering what actually fulfils the soul.

From being tangled in dunya…

To rising with clarity, meaning, and direction.

This kit doesn’t give you “answers” — it gives you the space, tools, and guided prompts to think, reflect, write, and grow. Whether you’re walking to Karbala or not, this challenge is your chance to walk beyond — toward spiritual maturity, toward Allah, toward your best self.

Ready to take that step?

  • 8 reflective sections
  • Journal-style activities
  • Audio and video experiences
  • Real stories of fame, failure, and the bazaars of deception

Anyone aged 14 to 25 is eligible to officially participate.

Candidates over 25 who may be interested are welcome to experience the challenge and complete the booklet, but prizes are reserved for those within the 14–25 age group.

  1. Please don’t begin reading or completing the challenge booklet until you’re on the walk — especially during night stops and rest stations. (Unless you’re not going for the walk — then you may start on or after August 4th.)
  2. The booklet includes audio and video content — these are essential to complete the challenge. If you feel you may face limited internet access on the walk, download the digital companion folder here ahead of time.
  3. You must sign up using the form below to be eligible for prizes. Simply purchasing the booklet doesn’t qualify you.
  4. The deadline to submit your entries is Arbaeen Day, 12:00 PM Iraq time (GMT+3).
  5. Don’t forget to bring earbuds/headphones and a pen — you’ll need both to complete the challenge.

1) Is this open for both brothers and sisters?

Yes! Anyone aged 14–25 can participate, regardless of gender.

2) I’m not going for the Arbaeen Walk this year. Can I still join?

Absolutely. You can complete the challenge in your own way. For location-based prompts, feel free to adapt creatively and email us how you approached them. Note: If you win, someone will need to collect your prize in Karbala on your behalf.

3) I’m outside the age range. Can I still participate?

If you’re under 14, we recommend waiting a few years. If you’re above 25, you’re welcome to take on the challenge — but unfortunately, you won’t be eligible for prizes.
